Found Active Termites? Can Ausinspect Help? For most Pest Control businesses, termite control is one of the more profitable sides to their businesses, any discounted work they tend to do will normally be only for long term, regular, bread & butter clients such as shops, strata managers etc'. I believe that if they are willing to discount they either inflated the cost initially, intend to cut corners or will hit you with extras however in some cases a business may need to discount heavily simply to pay employee wages when times are tough. An alternative that is offered by some Pest Control companies is a limited, localised chemical termite treatment, although a lot cheaper to the consumer than a full termite treatment this option is normally a lot more profitable to the pest control company as he has no real liability and has used minimal chemical or materials with only limited preparation work. Inspecting for Termites needs an experienced, trained eye with expertise in termite biology and behaviour so this always needs to be carried out by a Qualified & Experienced Pest Manager, the application of pesticides and termiticides needs to be carried out by an appropriately Licenced Pest Control Operator in NSW. The labour content of the termite treatment, preparation works etc', can be readily carried out by the homeowner himself if he is given professional guidance. At a later date the homeowner may also seek to carry out some and/or all of the repair work to the termite damaged building.
